BARCELONA, 26 February 2024: Alita Praya Mitra (Alita) and Indonesia Comnets Plus (PLN Icon Plus) announce collaboration in technology access to develop telecommunication infrastructure.

Alita Praya Mitra and PLN Icon Plus agreed to collaborate on access technology by signing a Memorandum of Understanding. The signing ceremony held by the President Director of PLN Icon Plus, Ari Rahmat Indra Cahyadi, and the President Director of Alita Praya Mitra, Teguh Prasetya, witnessed by Nokia Asia Pacific Enterprise Lead, Stuart Hendry, at the Mobile World Congress, Barcelona, on Monday (26/2).

This technology access cooperation covers implementing telecommunications networks based on fiber to the home (FTTH), WiGig, and fixed wireless access (FWA) technology. Alita collaborates with Nokia as one of the technology partners in this collaboration.

As a local company, Alita has a Fixed Closed Network license and become a system integrator providing telecommunications infrastructure with the latest neutral technology that can serve all regions of Indonesia.

The President Director of PT Alita Praya Mitra, Teguh Prasetya, sees that there are still 90 million houses connected to electricity but still need to be connected to internet access.

"Through collaboration with PLN Icon Plus, Alita wants to bring broadband connections to the home. Every 10% increase in internet penetration will increase GDP by 1%, and the internet will improve everyone's welfare." Teguh added, "This collaboration between Alita and PLN Icon Plus has greater advantages in implementing the latest and best technology. Our technology is short- and long-term, one of which is with Nokia."

Alita's collaboration with PLN Icon Plus through today's MoU aims to meet the need for a minimum broadband speed of 100 Mbps in every home at an affordable price and meet customer needs.

"As a digital service provider company, Alita provides networks, platforms, technology, data centers, and solutions to help PLN Icon Plus meet the needs of Indonesia's digital community." Teguh added, "We believe it will connect every home not only to electricity but also to internet access and can realize the transformation of the house as the center of digital life for Indonesia's progress.

President Director of PT Indonesia Comnets Plus, Ari Rahmat Indra Cahyadi, assesses this collaboration as a strategic step for PLN Icon Plus in providing telecommunications services to the public and supporting the achievement of the growth target of up to 1.5 million broadband internet subscribers (ICONNET) in 2024.

"We hope that this collaboration will increase and expand the penetration of PLN Icon Plus infrastructure, especially to provide technology access to all corners of the archipelago so that people can feel the direct benefits of internet connections and PLN Icon Plus services as well as provide accelerated benefits from the digital economy. "This is also in line with PLN Icon Plus' steps to continue to support government programs in equalizing digital literacy," he said.

Alita, as a system integrator company providing leading ICT solutions and services for customers since 1995, is committed to continually supporting the growth of the Indonesian telecommunications industry. Alita offers comprehensive services from planning, warehousing, and implementation to after-sales services such as telecommunications infrastructure solutions, intelligent solutions, and digital reality.

Teguh added that this collaboration encourages the acceleration of the digital economy. A fast and stable internet connection is the principal capital in the growth of the digital economy, from supporting the learning process to industrialĀ development.
