Jakarta, August 12th, 2021; PT Alita Praya Mitra (Alita) expanded the scope of fiber optic services by signing a cooperation agreement to develop and lease a 6.000 km fiber-optic network nationwide with PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi, Tbk (Mitratel). President Director of PT Alita Praya Mitra said this cooperation agreement is a form of collaboration in realizing synergy between the two companies to increase fixed-broadband penetration through fiber optic in Indonesia. “This fiber-optic service will support and improve the quality and quantity of internet implementation, both mobile broadband through 4G and 5G BTS and fixed broadband FTTx,” he said today.
The scope of this collaboration is in the form of the development and marketing of 6000 km of fiber-optic network, especially in South Sulawesi, Riau Island, West Java, Central Java, and East Java which will be built and operated by Mitratel and in collaboration with Alita. Alita has more than 8000km of fiber optic network in various regions in the country and supports cellular operations in conducting 5G events in several cities in Indonesia.
This collaboration will strengthen the fiber-optic network that Alita can prepare to support a more massive 5G event and strengthen 46 by cellular operators. The fiber optic service provided by Alita is a comprehensive solution that includes and is not limited to the fiber access network (FTTX), managed service, active network, smart pole, and site access termination.
