Sumedang Regency Government has signed two agreements with PT. Alita Praya Mitra (Alita) on Friday, March 14, 2025. The signing ceremony, held at the Regent’s Office, marks the commencement of a pilot project for installing Smart Poles and developing a Smart City in Sumedang Regency.

Smart Poles are multifunctional structures equipped with various sensors and devices to support multiple functions that benefit the government and the public.

Following the signing, Sumedang Regent Dony Ahmad Munir stated that Alita has consistently contributed and collaborated effectively with the Sumedang Government. “Previously, we received smart wearable devices called ‘Sinurmi,’ which help monitor blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, and other vital signs for pregnant women to prevent stunting,” he remarked.

The Regent further explained that this collaboration continues with Alita and PT Edotco Infrastruktur Indonesia by introducing Smart Poles in the Sumedang Regency.

“These Smart Poles are innovative structures equipped with CCTV, network reinforcement, environmental sensors, public information, advertising displays, electric vehicle charging stations, and, in the future, drone technology,” he elaborated.

According to the Regent, the drones will serve as environmental monitoring tools to enhance security systems.

“These drones will monitor designated areas, particularly to ensure smart security systems,” he added.

The Regent emphasized that the installation of Smart Poles is a step toward improving public services. Implementation is scheduled for May 2025.

“These poles will also feature air quality monitoring devices and a panic button linked to the Regional Command Center and Emergency Service 112,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Teguh Prasetya, CEO of PT. Alita Praya Mitra expressed his pride in continuing to support the Sumedang Government. “It is an honor for us to assist Sumedang in advancing its services, enhancing public productivity, and improving security,” he stated

Teguh also highlighted the initiative’s objective of enhancing service quality, particularly in telecommunications, information, and public services.

“With this initiative, we hope the productivity of people in Sumedang will also increase,” he concluded.
